-
Do you accept my insurance? We accept most popular insurances Medicare, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, etc. Please call us and we will find out the details of your coverage.
-
I am in a lot of pain, can I get an appointment right away?"It is possible to get same day appointments, please call us to schedule.
-
How long will it take to get better? Many factors must be considered to come to a reasonable estimate for recovery. These factors include the following: Age, overall health, how long you had the injury, employment, other medical conditions (such as Diabetes, Heart conditions, etc.), physical activity levels, to name a few. During treatment, the Therapist will go over the relevant factors to help come up with a reasonable answer. If necessary, we will refer to other specialists as needed and the patient will be given guidance throughout the entire process.
-
How often will I have to attend therapy? Most patients come in 1-2 times per week for about 4-8 weeks on average.
-
Why should I get physical therapy for "my condition"?"While it is true the body will heal on its own, there are very good reasons to seek profesional physical therapy. Physical therapy can help speed up the recovery process using various tools, techniques and specialized knowledge. Also, the Therapist can spot possible abnormalities during the healing process. For example, excessive scarring leading to diminished range of motion of a body part or weakened muscles after healing that will increase the patient's chance of reinjury. Seeing a Physical Therapist will take the guess work out of the healing process and you can focus on getting better.
-
What should I wear to therapy?Ideally, loose comfortable clothing with athletic footwear is recommeded. During the session, unobstructed access to the injured body part is preferred. If that is not possible, we do have clean scrubs that our patients can change into.
